About JS Fishing
JS Fishing started the way most tackle shops do — with too much gear in the shed and strong opinions about most of it. After years of buying kit that looked great online and fell apart on a cold beach in February, we set out to build the shop we wished existed: one that sells what actually works, at a fair price, with people who’ll tell you the truth about it.
We cover four disciplines — coarse, sea, fly and game — because that’s what our team actually fishes. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone; we’d rather stock a smaller range of gear we trust than a huge catalogue of things we’ve never cast a line with.
Most of what you’ll find here is sold under our own JS Fishing name, alongside a handful of specialist brands we rate for specific jobs — a beachcaster that needs to handle a proper UK swell, or a fly reel built to survive a Scottish river in November.

Every product on this site has been used on a UK bank, beach or river by someone on our team before it goes up for sale.
Honest advice over hard sells
If a cheaper option will do the job just as well, our guides will tell you. We'd rather you trust us for the next twenty years than upsell you once.
